TEAM IRELAND 1st selection was in June, and it gave us our first team members Leah Gorman, Casey Redman, Julie Sarjeant, Saskia Wadsworth-Smith, Megan Dodd and Jennifer Walford all very beautiful young girls but more importanly they are very charming and friendly girls, these girls will compete in OCTOBER as part of team ireland for the title of Miss European. The team has started off very well and we are all looking forward to welcoming our other 4 team members on board - Could That Be YOU!! WOW, what a fantastic 1st year for TEAM IRELAND The team had a wonderful time in Antwerp, having lots of fun and making new friends, and what an impact the team made on the competition "Team Spirit" would be an understatement, the girls made friends and charmed the locals wherever they went. They we great ambassidors for both the UK and Ireland with their friendilness and elegance, they did the UK proud. TEAM IRELAND 2009
Milly Tritton of Whitstable won the coveted title of A Princess of Europe being in the final along with Charlotte Moran of Folkestone and Stephanie Morrow of Belfast. We were delighted with the teams success in Belgium, not only did we achieve unparrelled success but it was our team spirit that won the day and something we are most proud of and an achievement that we can all be proud of. Our girls were approachable and friendliest of girls, each one was making the most of every experience during the week and having fun along the way, the group got on so well with each other and the other participating countries, that they made our job of chaperoning very easy and were an absolute joy to be with. Milly, Charlotte and Stephanie not only walked away with a title each, but would you beleive that, not one of these young ladies had EVER participated in a beauty pageant before, so this was their first time and what a first time it was, who would have beleived it, and it really does go to prove that any young girls dream can come true. It is so nice to see that the judging is envolving and it is the beauty from within that is becoming of paramount important, although their own beauty is obviously important, but equally the contestants that are chosen to represent the participating countries, have to have that extra something special , charm and grace and of course the most important ingrediant a natural and friendly nature someone that is approachable to everyone she meets (no matter how is feels that day!) a typicial " A NICE " girl who knows how to behave and have fun. The old style of being a 6ft prima donna/diva who is aloof and unapproachable, is we are pleased to say fast becoming a thing of the past, a fact that is captured in the last 4 winners, showing that personality is very high in the judges score sheet. We are pleased to announce that the search for our team of 10 young hopefuls is now on the way for the team of 2009. Miss Media Models UK Selection of the 8th Member of TEAM ENGLAND A winter wonderland hits Folkestone, Snow is beautiful sometime but there are occasions when it is a pain in the #!! Despite the awful weather, effecting the non arrival of staff, dancers and our photographer (who Iam pleased to say did arrive for the finalists) The show as they say "Must Go On" and it did! 16 beautiful girls found their way to the Folkestone Pavilion to compete in several rounds, in which all the girls gave a totally faultless performance . Our Judges found their task a difficult one as each girl delivered something unique to the Catwalk. But eventually the results were in CLARE MORGAN WILL REPRESENT MEDIA MODELS IN ANTWERP THIS NOVEMBER Miss European will be held in Antwerp, Belgium last week of November with the final taking place on Saturday 29th November. Age Limit increased to 16 -25yrs Miss Media Models Final will toke place on Sunday 6th APRIL 2008 @ The Pavilion, Wear Bay Road, Folkestone Media Models UK have taken the opportunity to move forward and become involved in what we feel is a new and exciting concept for our contestants, this year the winner of the Miss Media Models UK 2008, will instead of competing in Miss England, she will become one of the 10 members of Team England & Team Ireland who will go on to compete in the final MISS EUROPEAN 2008, and represent their country, the contest will take place in ANTWERP, BELGIUM in the last week of November with the final on Saturday 29th November. Updated above TEAM IRELAND NEWS Aleana Gurang, Amy Fuller, John Trickey (Director) Emma Finch Miss Media Models 2007 Emma Finch competed in this years final and was crowned 3rd Dauphine in Europe and also won the title of Spirit of Europe, something we are all very proud of. " I really had a wonderful time at Miss England, but Miss European was a totally different experience, it was not just one day, I was invited as a member of Team England to several events and even went Belgium & France many times throughout the year. I felt the contest was more involved and I really got to know all the other girls, we had such a great week at the final. I felt the contest was not all about just being the prettiest girl, but what I was like as a person, was just, if not more important, I had a fantastic time, and cannot wait to represent my country as one of the dauphines in 2008. Sponsorship is £350.00 to be paid within 60 days of your acceptance of your position upon the team. ONLY the Winners pay the sponsorship : Why? We feel after running the contest for over 12 years that it is a fairer way for all involved, instead of charging each contestant anything from £150 to £600 just for entering, like many other beauty pageants tend to do, with no guarantee of ever reaching the second round let along reach the final. We feel this practise is preying on young girls dreams and aspirations, therefore it is only the 10 winners that pay the sponsorship. and you know exactly what you are getting NO hidden extra's. Your sponsorship covers the whole year not just the final, as throughout the year you will get invited to events both here in the UK and Belgium & France. Team Members will also get given the Full Team Kit, Hotel Accomodation & Food for the week of the final of Miss European, all excursions, events, parties and any other PR events that the Team is invited too.
